The Basics To begin, participants will open and explore Outlook. Particular attention will be paid to the two interfaces that Outlook uses. Participants will also learn how to use and customize the main screen elements: the message list, the To-Do bar, and the reading pane.
Setting Up A Mail Account During this module, participants will explore the different types of mail accounts and how to configure each type. Participants will also learn how to configure RSS feeds in Outlook.
Creating a Message Next, participants will learn how to create a basic message, including how to format text, add files and Outlook items, change the message theme, and check spelling.
Advanced Message Tasks This module will teach participants how to add advanced elements to their message, including Word objects (such as SmartArt and tables), voting buttons, and CC/BCC fields. Participants will also learn how to set delivery options, including read receipts and delivery time.
Working with the Calendar and Tasks During this module, participants will learn how to use Outlook's calendar and task list.
Working with Contacts Next, participants will learn how to create contacts and distribution lists, and how to use them to address mail messages.
Common Tasks To conclude the course, participants will learn how to perform common Outlook tasks, including replying to or forwarding a message, categorizing items, organizing mail, and dealing with junk mail.
