Getting Started To begin, participants will learn the basics of Publisher: how to open and close it, how to use the interface and the Getting Started window, and how to get help.
Creating a Basic Publication This section will show participants how to create a publication from the Getting Started window, perform common tasks using the Format Publication task pane, and perform basic operations on text and pages.
Doing More with Text Participants will learn some more things that they can do with text, including changing the font face, size, and color; using basic editing commands; using the Format Painter; creating drop caps; setting kerning, tracking, and scaling options; and using AutoFit.
Adding to your Publication Next, participants will practice using the Business Information set, AutoCorrect, research tools, the Content Library, and the Design Gallery. Participants will also learn how to add ClipArt and shapes to their publication.
Printing and Viewing your Publication This section will focus on how to manage windows; use Page Setup, Print Setup, and Print Preview; and how to print a publication.
Polishing your Publication Participants will learn how to add headers and footers to their publication and how to use color and font schemes.
Using Text Boxes This section will show participants how to perform basic editing tasks on a text box, link and unlink boxes, format text into columns, change text direction, and use AutoFit.
Arranging Objects This section covers using rulers, guides, snap, align, and distribute to arrange a publication.
Completing your Publication Participants will learn how to save their files in different formats (including PDF), trap (register) settings, use the Design Checker, use the Graphics Manager, pack a publication to go, and e-mail a publication. We will also explore Publisher's merge features.
Making a Publication Consistent This section will explore how to create, use, and manage master pages and styles.
Enhancing your Publication Participants will learn how to add embedded objects and tables to their publication.
Adding Graphics This section will focus on adding WordArt and AutoShapes to a publication.
Inside Publisher Participants will learn how to set program options.
Macros Participants will learn the basics of using Visual Basic to code a macro.
Publisher and Other Applications This section will teach participants how to use Office diagnostics, manage Publisher add-ins, and use Publisher and Word together.
Publisher and the Web This section will cover the basics of creating a publication for the Web
Advanced Web Features Participants will learn about more things they can add to a Web publication, including hotspots, background sounds, and form controls.
